With a ceremonial ground-breaking ceremony, the Cteam Group has officially launched the construction of its new campus in Ummendorf. Covering an area of around 28,000 m², the site will be a forward-looking facility featuring around 200 modern workstations, a training centre including outdoor and indoor training facilities, and an extensive warehousing and logistics area with an adjoining multi-storey car park.
Planning for the construction project began as early as 2023. The overall project is divided into two construction phases: the first phase – comprising the warehouse, logistics and multi-storey car park – has now commenced, whilst the second phase, featuring office and training areas, will follow from mid-2026. Completion of the entire campus is scheduled for the end of 2027.
“With this campus, we are laying the foundations for a future-proof working environment that combines the needs of our staff with the requirements of our projects in the best possible way,” emphasised Helmut Locher, company founder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Cteam SE, in his speech at the ground-breaking ceremony.
Heiko Graf, Mayor of the municipality of Ummendorf, Michael Keller from Nething Generalplaner GmbH, and Christopher Nagel from Goldbeck GmbH – the company responsible for the first construction phase – also praised the project and the collaboration to date in their speeches.
The architectural concept was devised by the master planner Nething from Ulm and is based on a distinctive design element: the building’s façade is reminiscent, in its design language, of the interior of a copper cable – a highly symbolic link to Cteam’s corporate identity. The sustainable focus of the construction project is also being consistently implemented: green roofs and outdoor areas designed to be close to nature contribute to the overall ecological concept.
The implementation of this major project is in the hands of a dedicated project team within the Cteam Group, which is responsible for realising the campus in collaboration with experienced external partners. With this new site, Cteam is making a clear commitment to sustainable growth, continuous development and modern, attractive working conditions for its staff.
